Meet The Reloved Family

Hi there! We are the mother-daughter trio that own and operate The Reloved Boutique. We opened our business in 2020 and have since become a consignment destination in Hamilton. We have been second hand shoppers our entire lives. With each of us having our own individual style, it allows us to curate a unique assortment where there is something for everyone!

What inspired you to open a consignment shop?

We have always loved shopping second hand because of the thrill of the find! You find amazing pieces at great prices! We started The Reloved Boutique because we found there was a gap in the consignment market for casualwear.

What is your dream for the boutique in the next 5 years?

Manifesting in the next 5 years we can acquire more space to operate out of! So we could to expand our assortment and welcome more new consignors to our community! 

Favourite thing you have ever found second hand?

My vintage wool and cashmere camel coloured coat for $20!!!

What is the story behind the boutique's name?

Believe it or not, I actually had a dream of the name “reloved” and logo “of our recycled heart”. 

What is a common misconception people have about second hand shopping?

People think that they can’t stay up to date with the latest trends, not realizing that fashion in itself is circular so trends always come back around. I think secondhand fashion truly emphasizes the point that your clothing is not supposed to fit you straight off of the rack and further encourages alterations as everything is one of a kind, but might need a little bit of work to make it perfect for you! 

Favourite thing you have ever found second hand?

What do you hope customers feel when they shop here?

I want all our customers to feel welcomed, confident and excited to shop at the boutique. We work hard to provide a boutique atmosphere and offer a curated not overwhelming selection of items. I want customers to enjoy their shopping experience and look forward to revisiting us. 

Why is second hand shopping important to you?

We all need to do our part to help reduce our environmental impact on earth. I want my grandchildren to know I tried to make an impact by consciously shopping second-hand, which helped reduce my carbon imprint so they can enjoy this planet

Favourite thing you have ever found second hand?

So many to choose from. But if I had to pick one it would be my Harveys seatbelt purse.
